This is a quick snack.  Please try to provide a healthy snack.  Those who purchase breakfast can do so during this time.

Reading/Language Arts/Spelling/Writing

 

 

Spelling Schedule-New words go home on Monday every other week.  The test is on Friday.  Homework is due on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

 Vocabulary Schedule-New words go home on Monday every other week.  The test is on Friday.  Homework is due on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

 Spelling weeks and Vocabulary weeks alternate.

 

Recess and Lunch  12:21-1:06

 

 

 

Social Studies

 

During the year, we will be studying map skills, communities, states and America's beginning.

 

 

 

Science

 

During the year, we will be studying the scientific method, force, magnets, matter, animals, environment, plants, and weather.

Homework

 

Please check assignment pads for homework.

 

Reinforcement of the day's lesson is a very important part of the learning process.  Please make every effort to provide your child the opportunity to show you what they have learned.  If at all possible, please check your child's homework, and have them correct those that are incorrect.

 

Spelling Homework-Monday through Wednesday

 

Math Homework-Monday through Thursday

 

*Missed homework will be completed when possible.

 

 

 

Toys or Distractions

 

There will be no toys of any kind in or on the students' desks.  If your child brings in something to play with while on the playground, it must immediately be placed into their locker upon entering the classroom.

 

 

 


 

Grades

 

I will be putting grades on papers this year.  This is a year of transition to get students ready for a graded report card starting in fourth grade.  The third grade report card will be the same as the second grade report card.

 

Grades 92-100=A   85-91=B   76-84=C   70-75=D   69 and below=F
