I am the Special Education teacher for Estell Manor School and am proud to be of service to the community.

I believe all children have the ability to learn and the right to a proper education. This sometimes requires instruction through alternative methods. The goal is to reach all of our learners through differentiated instruction and effective strategies that enable all children to learn the content through different avenues. Through this method , our classrooms become learning communities in which we practice respect, self-awareness and cooperative learning.

I have been teaching for 10 years and received my Master’s in Education from Rowan University and my Bachelor’s from Villanova University. In my previous career, I was a United States Coast Guardsman involved in law enforcement as a tactical team leader and as a rescue swimmer for the USCGC Vigorous 627. I am a husband, a father, a brother, a son, and a dog person. I believe in working together to move forward and leaving no one behind. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link.

I believe in giving back to the community through service and enjoy working for social improvement. This led me to the U.S. Coast Guard and into teaching. I chose the area of special education because students with disabilities are in a constant struggle just to keep their head above water and deserve to receive the same education as any other person. My goal is to reach these children by bringing the content to them in a way they can understand. Everyone deserves a fair shot.

A major philosophy in my life’s work is taken from a quote by Abraham Lincoln --

"When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That is my religion."
