Welcome to third grade, it should be an exciting year. In our class we will be doing SRA reading series and it is all new and exciting. Expect to work hard and read a lot. We are also going to be doing reading centers every day that will include Success Maker on the computer, Guided Reading and 100 Book Challenge and Accelerated Reader.

Math time will bring us a new supplement to our original program and it is called Acaletics, I am looking forward to getting started and to see how much progress the students can make this year.

Homework will be given every day. The week nights homework will be math, spelling and reading for 30 minutes. The homework on the weekend will be to read for 30 minutes every day. I would like to keep the students reading every day.
