Welcome to first grade! 

Please read every night with with your child for 20 minutes every (it is okay if they read the same book many times - the repetition will give them good practice with new/old words.)

 
Reading and RE-reading is very important for their fluency in reading words faster and it will help them comprehend what they are reading faster.  

 
School Rules:

Be Respectful (listening and talking nicely to others - children and adults)

Be Responsible (doing work on time - when asked, bringing back homework)

Be a Problem Solver (think about how to solve something before asking others)
