Our school day begins at 8:52. If you need to report a student absence, please contact the main office at: (609) 465- 1827.

B- Behavior Management: I have established a classroom management system that focuses on the children individually (Ready for Construction), in a cooperative team (team tallies), as well as a whole class(Road to Success). I also use Class Dojo.

Buddies - We will be having 2nd Grade Buddies with Miss Douglass's class. This is a great experience for all children, to develop a lasting friendship.

C- Communication: Communication is the key to a successful parent-teacher relationship. You may contact me several ways: e-mail, phone, or send in an old-fashioned handwritten note with your child.

Conferences- We have conferences in the Fall and Spring.  During our conference, we will review your child's report card, math and reading assessments, and their writing. We will also discuss what I have observed regarding your child's learning abilities, social skills, and classroom behavior and cooperation.

D- DelCorio Dollars: Every OTHER Friday, the children may go shopping in the "DelCorio Dollar Store". The children can earn DelCorio Dollars as an indiviudal by being prepared for class, and doing kind things for their classmates. The DelCorio Dollars are a great positive reinforcement for the children, and the prizes vary each month.

Differentation: I will be differentiating my instruction through the use of cooperative learning, inquiry-based, and direct instruction lessons to meet the needs of all learners in my class.

E- Early Dismissial: Our early dismissial time is 1:35.  However, if you need to take your child out of school at an earlier time, please sign your child out at the front office. A note would be greatly appreciated, so I can have your child packed up and ready!

Multiplication Master: A fun concept in class to help the children memorize their math facts ( 0 - 12) is by doing a "Multiplication Blackout".
