Dear Parents/Guardians,
Oldmans Township School is providing your student with a username and password to access the online materials at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s ThinkCentral website. This access makes it possible for students to complete their reading assignments without taking their heavy reading books home. Students also have the ability to listen to the stories and make notes about the lessons digitally. I encourage you to access these valuable resources online if you can!
The login for your student is the same as their Chromebook login and IXL login.
Follow these steps to access online materials and assignments:
1. Go to http://www-k6.thinkcentral.com
2. Select your Country, State, District, and School.
Note: To make it easier to log in later, select the Remember My Organization checkbox.
3. Type your User Name and Password.
4. Click Log In.
Note: If a Set Your ThinkCentral Password page appears, then type a password of your own choosing that you can remember for future logins. (Not all students are prompted to set a new password.)
Once logged in, the student home page appears. Open additional pages by clicking the page names:
• Things to Do displays a list of assignments and their due dates.
• My Scores show your child’s progress in assessments and assignments.
• My Library gives you access to the online version of the text, as well as any other material the teacher has made available. ** We use Yellow Book Icon “Student eBook” & “Journeys Reader’s Notebook G5 2017”. The Video Hub is also helpful with short videos to explain skills.
