My grading policy for art is as follows: 

Students in Grades Kindergarten through second grade recieve a letter grade  B ( beginning), D ( developing), or S ( satisfactory) based on their skills. 

Students in grades three through eight recieve a weekly participation grade and one project grade per marking period. Students choose which art work they wish to turn in for a project grade. Projects will be graded on a basic rubric. Students need to work to the best of their ability each week for their  participation grade.
