At Pinelands Regional School District, Assistant Superintendent Gina Frasca made a leadership decision early on: MTSS wouldn’t be another program added to teachers’ plates. It would become the system that connects every tiered support, from strong core instruction to I&RS to the Child Study Team, all built into their SIS.
Three years in, the work is stable, growing, and more consistent every year. Teachers feel empowered to intervene in the classroom, CST referrals are down, and the district is heading into QSAC with more confidence than ever.
In this session, Gina shares her work (specifically within the Math department) through a leadership lens: how she built a strong team, simplified technology by consolidating (not multiplying), stayed involved at the student level, and inspired commitment across the district.
You’ll walk away with:
- A low and slow rollout approach that earns lasting teacher buy-in
- Ways leaders can stay visible and involved at the student level without micromanaging
- Technology time-savers that make classroom intervention visible, doable, and credited
- Ideas for using connected data to strengthen every PLC, SST, and leadership meeting
